What are Automatic Updates?
Available with Firmware 1.12 and above, the Sofia 2 can download and install Firmware and Assay Method Files from the QuidelOrtho Cloud via a secure connection.
Follow the links below for additional information on how to update your Sofia 2 settings to allow for automatic updates and connect to QuidelOrtho via Wi-Fi or Wired Ethernet (LAN).

Automatic Updates Security
The automatic update system has been designed with Security as a first priority. Sofia 2 Analyzer connections to fetch automatic software updates are done over encrypted connections to secure cloud systems, in order to facilitate keeping your Sofia 2 instruments up-to-date with important Analyzer firmware and assay definition releases as they become available.
Automatic updates are an optional service provided free of charge. To take advantage, you may need to work with your Information Systems and Security Support resources for them to enable the required network connections to the services.
